rings and beef bites which are literally just fried pulled beef inside of these little small Hush Puppy size crispy doughed rolls um yeah I hope I look already just thinking about it and then I had a um small small a very small very small but still I had it and then I shouldn't a strawberry uh Frosty with a huge um Vanilla Coke and I completely fell off my average daily diet and so speaking of background phase as far as such things go we are comfortably past our hard start the question that matters most in this beginning this warm-up is what questions suggestions hypotheses and Corners would we like to round off before diving in both feet and holding on for dear life so let me get this straight we went through a bunch of doors that were all locked behind us by that old fellow with place that is provided with modern Heating and Cooling for comfort's sake keep it around 95 degrees Fahrenheit around 90 to 96 you all keep it nice and warm which helps you all feel or hide the fact that you are not actively actually alive above that even Kendrick begin to notice maybe that's a bit much bend them from the moment that you've all walked in it started at about 115 120 degrees inside the building and it's been going up in small increments the entire time now none of you are or were in life firefighters or Personnel but there's a ignition point for everything in the house for everything in Modern Heating and Cooling there is an ignition point for all the materials that are used to build a home this home was built before those things were codified into existence this home was built before the Advent of environmentally relatively friendly Heating and Cooling practices this home was built before the idea of central AC where the Hearth set the temperature for the home the fireplace and the center of the of the house and the kitchen yeah all of those things all the modern conveniences have been added to this home without changing any of the material that was used to build it so easily within a few degrees you were above the set point or the ignition point for most of the things inside the walls hmm that sounds precarious yep um the doors are made out of wood they were locked behind us as well presumably the locks on our side but we'd probably also need to get the key off of the old dude we um unless they're dead bolts we hear Calloway screaming away down there or is the Roar of the fire too much there is a royal volume to the flames and the realization that you've all been inside of an oven for those of you who rode at and were made aware are wary of the real fact that you all were in a pot where the temperature had been being increased incrementally the entire time that action of recognition that action of understanding one of the tantamount Testaments and facts of the world is even in action is an action something to hold true and know that if someone's not doing something that is a choice of not doing something and that is an actual first and almost immediate action is going to be to try and get the [ __ ] out of here that's uh yeah that's uh Vanessa's thought as well and she's also gonna try to help a Kannitha too like on her way out through doors Jimmy would be lunging for his um that has his families in it and then tear tearing him out of it him in his mouth to keep him away from the flames excellent so we have our we have our decisions well in hand so before we dive fully in one more question yes are there any windows noted windows are at risk so while they were part of the building initially a lot of the windows have themselves been well skewered there are partitions and wood screens and the light so that outside it appears as if there is something always happening inside it always seems as if there's lights moving and what have you but it's all theater the windows are sealed to prevent well accidental immolation very hard to say I have you you name a villain hold it takes is a ray of sunshine to kill you amongst other things the bullfrog is as evidence not as dumb as he most people would immediately believe we live in a very vain culture and that's not something that's just simply discovered as of has used it to their own ends people automatically assume the large fellow is the Dullard people automatically assume someone from a family such as his is clearly you know inbred and well behind the times oh he's heard all of the jokes in fact he's started some of them purposefully to disarm others but he's a smart individual he keeps his fingers on the pulse of what's Happening he has pawns and Tin Jews throughout the community or had or as the case may actually end up being which is one of the many reasons why the bareness was insistent on utilizing his Network or destroying it so that no the areas is the founding of the area they are embedded like ticks a parasitic blood sucking facet of life there are rumors and rumors of rumors being real power knowing which ear to whisper into knowing whose secret belonged to whom well you could change the fate of entire families could change the fate of entire immortalities and the bullfrog is the penultimate form an undying Immortal thing sitting at the center of a web that stretches across the entirety of the coast manner the physical side a landmark that you've entered into real Mississippi history it's often photograph from a distance or someone tours the ground with drones or in person with paid tours sometimes a person here and there will get lost and maybe never be seen again but no one pays attention to that sort of thing after all you shouldn't go poking around other people's closets if you don't expect to get trapped inside of it blind eyes are turned but it very much is an institution amongst mississippians and the codery is inside the prime Calloway Mansion the prime Calloway Manor as the building around them has erupted in flames and there's part of them that has a sense of self-preservation a part of them that is insanely seeking Escape the floor a huge hole within it Flames looking up from beneath it let the guy that know that the Flames are in fact all around where they are choice of actions choice of decisions and Hell choice of where to plant one's feed it's very important so we'll begin in alphabetical order as to actions and steps taken if any well as I said Jimmy would rush over and remove his family from the cage um there's a rumored bearing at the moment isn't on fire yet though is it it is not well then before telling him to seek Refuge uh Jimmy will get him to scout the edge of the hole to see if he can see the large one we've got a large one but in his chittering bug language indeed which I won't attempt to emulate it's corpulence okay well that would require a good deal of work because unlike the Dead the living have a a reason to fear the fire that well there's a little more pressing because unlike yet Kindred death for them is in fact death like it's over the party's done there's no coming back for it like there's no I haven't already died and survived it once that means the end of most of them she doesn't want to do it Jimmy's not going to force him he's accent your accent is a little different than his but you guys look past such things because well you know communication is is important how you communicate not so much so long as you do and so mimicking that as they go back and forth in a matter of seconds while that's happening several things has always happened at once during moments of stress uh Jimmy is communicating with their friend he doesn't get burnt and then you snoring leap to follow Hoss thank you oh man uh yeah so like I would have to roll rock check to jump down there wouldn't I yeah you are aware of what fire means you have through your past no explicitly how damaging fire is if you failed dances with your former group an association lets you know exactly that while pain don't hurt fire sure as hell does really do but homie just images of the mouth of Mordor oh [ __ ] with a with a with a result of three would my with my brotherly bond be able to kick in here like I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can even reasonably buy the character's own personality justify going in I need to roll her up track as well which means never actually experienced five despite the fact that he looks like he has exactly he has never experienced it his Beast is kicking his ass as he's already met weep but it's a little sleep for that all right I'm just gonna try and guarantee us a way up and uh just you know so once I Truth Vanessa as you charge the door to literally use your head would you be so kind to go ahead and roam your strength and brawl strength involved copy that uh and since this is a scary situation I man and every mascot rode into one sending wood and shrapnel flying five six ten feet further from her as there is a virtual person-sized hole in the door from the dining room the banquet hall where you all are into the Hall which only as you are not being led through do you realize that the hall isn't really a hall it's a room unto itself does it also have a locked security door on the other end there's several doors in the room several doors along the hall and because of the left right left up and down of this of the leading you from the sitting room at the front portion of the manor to here what was the chance that you all remembered exactly which steps you were taking because you were guided alone I'll just um I'll try the nearest door is it is it locked into as solid as the uh the door that we just came through here's a question uh the nearest door are you going straight down the space the room to the next door are you taking the right or the left take the right to the right opening the door you are frustrated and not frustrated in the way that makes you think oh well [ __ ] this [ __ ] I'm out but frustrated in the way of oh [ __ ] when fire is Raging the one the last thing you want to see is a room filled with shelves of very combustible books and papers and that's exactly what happens as you open the nearest door there are boxes upon boxes of old Ledger entries you can tell because some of the pages are yellowed and hanging over the edge of the Box not yellow because they were dyed yellow like modern legal Pad but yellow from age meaning that if you even so much has had an actual living hot breath on those pages there was a chance of it igniting the shell is filled with leather-bound tomes of all manner of size and colors covered in the dust of well dead flesh because that is what dust is made out of flaked off slawed off skin and realizing that you've just opened or added fuel to the fire raging elsewhere in the building is one of those most frustrating moments possible and it is literally an oh [ __ ] what did I do because you can feel the heat easing and rushing around you filling the space the heat from beneath you where the fire is Raging the heat from the fire above this floor and well the heat all that hot expected in breath gotcha I'm just screaming this one's bust try the other door I'm gonna try the one straight ahead um slammed the door shut and move on um wait and Oliver chose which door first yeah yeah the one on the left it was the one on the left okay I know I chose the one on the right I told you to choose the door on the left oh you told Vanessa to go okay so yeah Vanessa's gonna go towards the the left door then that one's locked right so I guess yeah but no it is not in fact locked you you open the door and there's no reason for a kindred anywhere in the world to need such firing it is a waste you see pots and pans that are worth more than some people's entire assistances huge copper things where you can actually put the entirety of a human body inside of you so much a cutting board made out of marble that clearly was handcrafted a counter long enough to well conduct an autopsy on the tiled floor with drains built into it with flames licking through the stainless steel that you can see and a stove large enough that you can actually cook an entire steer a full-fledged 1600 pound cow at one time on on the far side of the room is a huge broiling barbecue grill pit inside the building and just past that is a huge floor to ceiling glass door glass door outside oh uh I yell out to everyone um you know to me those two [ __ ] just Rambo well I bet stable to Oliver and Kannitha uh you know hey there's a glass door over here it leads out to the Garden oh I get it open I'll start heading my way over to her yeah um locked or unlocked it is locked is this like that bulletproof glass one way to find out um there's the spirit she's gonna charge the door oh my God don't bounce off of it I was a young child I was running through the [ __ ] mall ahead of my parents couldn't wait to get back to the car and head home and they had a glass [ __ ] wall I slammed into it and flew back like three feet and my mom was laughing the people around us were laughing and I had no idea what the [ __ ] happened and uh what should I call it and at this point have a a kid Vanessa can hear the two voices is exactly what Vanessa does there is a if she squeals and Roars charging the door did it worked before it'll work again and while most things can't be proven in that manner and what happened before there's no bearing on the present save as educational reason to not be there but that surprised that her decision to do so is 100 accurately true all of the money wasted on you've shielded led by in class means nothing to the unbridled Fury of a kangaroo determined to not be where there was fire the unsettling fact and the truth is she's free if she gets a chance to see the beauty of the Flames that it can no longer lick and laugh hard she has also created a breeze hey oh boy oh boy path of which fresh air and oxygen can be added to all of those lovely flames in that building not dead in her present mind or State of Affairs does that really even Factor because she's outside of the building so [ __ ] [ __ ] hey guys I'm out come on what is the current condition of Jimmy and horse oh yeah how is flame broil Jimmy doing we're getting there we're getting there we're only two actions further from when the Frog the bullfrog himself fell through his floor there's some embarrassment there even Dead Fall in front of people that or bees you consider you at best almost here equal and worse a snack there's a bit of Pride on the line in such situations normally for individuals like the bullfrog those things don't really matter pride is a tool to be used against others to poke others to nudge them in the right way of doing business that is most favorable for yourself Pride goes before a fall unfortunately even with the Cutthroat realization that all of your emotions are just tools for you to be manipulated by there is a wash of swelled pride and vanity because there is very few opportunities in this world where someone would put themselves on the line for anyone else Everyone likes to believe that if my children were on the line if my mother was on the line if my brother was on the line everyone believes that in those big moments they'd rise to the occasion they sacrifice themselves in a heartbeat they do whatever it takes that is usually never the case usually the loudest proponent of support it is the first to abandon the cause usually the one who makes such large promises out loud rarely ever follows through on them rarely ever Rises to that level of support especially as in every way every day small betrayals have become the norm the indirect attack the Shaded hand holding Blaze to assassinate someone else's character instead of saying I find that idiot frustrating and hashing things out directly it is there's nothing wrong with him it's just well you know no no one knows but you but you have already effectively poisoned the well those attacks are constant and consistent so anyone willing to put themselves on the line in support of another is incredible and Jimmy land in the literal Ring of Fire as everything below this main floor is a flame causes blood tears to begin leaking and roiling over the heavy jowls of the bullfrog's face would have caused all sorts of damage because the fall was one of 12 plus feet unprepared and with his mass and with his weight there was nothing to do but break everything luckily he is unfortunately quite dead he is relatively impervious to such a small fall the only thing affected it is relatively non-existent Pride and as he's lifting himself and trying to fight off the full weight of the fear that is ripping every facet of his heart like Superman or some angel from on high s and Jimmy appear in the only bit of Salvation the only bit of non-damaging energy about him and his sin like angels to rescue him to help him to burn with him for the first time in 40 years stunned with a surprise for the first time in 40 years someone not just someone two other Kindred have surprised him to the point of open mouth silence there's a real painful realization that somewhere out there in the night there are individuals willing to be not only truer than their word but to live by some principle that would have them put their existence on the line unlike the motors around us these idiots are putting their immortality on the line who are they and while I roll secretly for Haas Jimmy speaking around the wasp in his mouth Jimmy will Mumble towards bullfrog it's come with this cousin which is the phone here or leave I was told that believingly there too wasn't an option and physics and then uh getting uncomfortably close to the bullfrogs Jimmy will try to lift his heavy bulk and use a combination of rails and prowess to soaringly back out of the hole with bullfrog hold up real quick there is something to be taken care of ahead of that nobody there is but we're gonna roll we're gonna make this all One Singular solitary role we're gonna do a huge cinematic wipe as to what happens next we're going to fade to darkest that beautifully poignant speech stumbling around the wasp in his mouth the muscles bulging as he channels that dark energy into his limbs he channels the Beast and everything he holds dear in that moment he and Haas working together you will be able to be rolling for the both of you all and because of the very real fear gripping your heart because of the Beast because of the very precarious situation and the bulk of the bullfrog you two will be rolling you'll get a plus one but you'll be rolling your strength your Athletics and you need to have a combined total of successes of Hoss's Humanity and I also use prowess yes and I also results yes as I'll use prowess which should give me an extra two and Pharrell's uh hunger increases but I roused yeah you don't have to worry about anything so afterwards but that's fine um that should give me nine dice that's a very good thing because you need a a five plus one total success a five for a relative success and anything less than that well there's going to be some burnt tootsies and a monstrous freak out all at once so do me a favor go ahead give that a quick fashionable roll let's see where Haas and Jimmy find themselves with the fire encroaching on everything they can see pulling at them and looking at them and laughing at them jumping at them as if they could the fire self can make them even more afraid where do they end up I don't know about Hoss's role but Jimmy uh succeeded by margin of three and that gives you three successes you didn't put a difficulty but it's just fine uh your total was hosta's Humanity which is a five um the fires are in fact too much you received a plus one because of us yeah I can re-roll all right let's see what happens it will put me into mental oh oh and I'm in mental impairment it's okay okay now we just need is a minister on the server and they'll incur a loss A cost in this case there is the real understanding that you put yourself on the line for something not even someone that would not have done anything remotely the same you expose tossed out daily you matter as much to that Kindred as the snack food at most bars is only there because it's salty and gets you drinking more it's handed out by the boatloads because the more people Nosh on it the more they're going to drink the more they're going to order something to actually fill them your empty calories at best or at least that's what your Beast tells you that's what your darker nature does in an effort to drive home just how foolish it was in risking your forever for something and someone that could not care less or the Beast might be screaming that at him Landry didn't give him much options for failure so Jimmy doesn't do anything by halves no no he doesn't and the combined heaving and Hauling of he and Haas remember you do receive a plus one for the assistance of you two working together managed just to get the bulk of the bullfrog up and out of the hole their own Undead strength and fear coursing through them keeping them moving when depression and their their bulk might otherwise paralyze them in that flame in the doing however would you be so kind you should not jot down in one aggravated point of damage for you and Haas because the Flames are not as forgiving as fate the Flames want your entire existence gone you can hear it whispering amongst itself as it laps and licks at your skin as you to help the bullfrogs first to their feet and then up those 12 feet onto the next level the floor buckling and creaking under the weight bits and pieces have been falling further into a flame adding to the fuel but you managed to get them up and out of the flame and rolling and crawling on Floors elbows and knees towards the door leading out of the banquet hall where you all work at which point you hear Vanessa yelling screaming I'm out yeah is uh I imagine Oliver is still in that screaming yeah I imagine Oliver is still in that that immediate Nexus right outside the uh the dining hall yep you're in Kannitha do do we see them like crawling out of the pits of Hell whereas you hear them the creaking and buckling of the floor barely holding itself together as the bullfrogen elbows and knees pulls themselves out of the banquet hall being pushed forward by Haas and Jimmy it's a room filling with smoke and Flames lapping up from beneath and these three come trembling out of that space the floor clearly barely holding itself
